Still Wearing Summer Dresses - #Chicandstylish #LINKUP

Hello and thanks for joining me today.
Hope you're week is going well, stay focused it's nearly the weekend!

Well this is what September looks like. I'm almost looking forward to the next season are you?
I can't wait to see what new colours and styles will have us swooning over, have you bought anything for the new season yet?

Having just got back from Sicily on Monday I've not had a chance to get into town to see what's around.  You know I hate shopping online, but maybe I'll have to bite the bullet and get looking on there.

It's still hot here, well I think it is.  So I'm still eking out my Summer dresses and this one had to be worn again - with new sandals of course. 😏

I have to admit tying them up took a few attempts and I have to pull them really tight to make sure they don't slip down.  I like everything about them from the little frayed edge to the wedge platform they have.

Since getting back from my holiday on Monday, I have noticed a change in the weather, but not as much as I'd expected.  On Tuesday I went to put on my jeans, I got one leg in and quickly pulled it off.  It's still way too hot for me to don jeans, so I turned to my dress rail and pulled out this pretty blue floral to run my errands and get my dinner ingredients.  I changed the feel a bit since I last wore it, pairing it with my new tie up espadrilles which I bought in the New Look sale last week.  They cost an amazing £14 (online they are a tad more at £17) & look very cute on.  If you fancy getting some similar, do have a look in your local store because online they only have really big sizes!

Adding fancy jewellery takes an outfit to the next level, I like to finish off a look with something like this, striking accessories can make all the difference. X

I'm living in dresses at the moment, they're just so easy to wear.  This appealing cornflower blue flowery dress is such a pretty number I love wearing it. It's got buttons down the front to the waist, a tidy collar, short sleeves that have a slight puff and a matching tie belt.  It felt cool on and I didn't dare take a jacket with me as I was melting!!  I hope it's not just me getting too hot in this weather we're experiencing at the moment?
I wanted to share this is from my local F & F & find they are great at providing excellent fashionable styles at a fraction of the cost. I've bought many pieces from them over the years, and often come home with a cute little item that strangely just 'finds' it's way into my shopping trolley 🤷🏻‍♀️ - does this happen to you?

I've got a fair few bags that would have complimented my dress and decided on this elegant blue quilted version.  The beauty of it is the chain strap which can be pulled through making it shorter and more formal or by leaving the strap longer it can be pulled over the shoulder or worn across the body.

A last minute addition by way of a sweet blue 3 strand bead necklace, it's such a pretty piece.  Adding fancy jewellery takes an outfit to the next level, I like to finish off a look with something like this, striking accessories can make all the difference. X

Aren't these sandals just wow!  I've wanted a pair for a while after seeing lots of bloggers and Instagramer's showing them off so when I saw these on the New Look website in a size 9 I hoped I might find some in my local store.  I went over to Canterbury last week and found my size just sitting waiting for me, wasn't I lucky to find them and they were even cheaper than online .. result!

I have to admit tying them up took a few attempts and I have to pull them really tight to make sure they don't slip down.  I like everything about them from the little frayed edge to the wedge platform they have.  Are you a fan of the espadrille?

  1. Still quite warm so not changing my wardrobe yet. Isn't it satisfying to spot a bargain online and then find it in a store in the right size? Serendipity. X

Secondly. Love this blue on you and it’s so prettily accessorized Jacqui, well done. Hope those espadrilles are comfy and don’t cut off your blood supply!
I was in the UK this past week, pretty near you too, and the weather was still hot and humid.
